Sjögren's syndrome is a chronic rheumatic auto-immune disease which affects the saliva glands causing them to produce none or reduced quality liquids. This primarily affects the mouth and eyes, but can also affect every other similar gland in your body. A side effect for sufferers of this is tiredness.
The reason why I'm telling you this is because three years ago I was diagnosed with Sjögren. This was quite the shock at the age of 30. Most people think rheumatism is just some old peoples disease. There's a broad spectrum of it, and they can affect you in different ways.​

I want to show thanks for being able to diagnose me correctly and point me towards the right specialists to help me beyond. Thanks to their help I can learn to live with it and find balance in my life.
Therefore, for every sale I make during December 2018 I will take 1€ and donate it to Reumanederland.​

The donation will be made in early January of 2019 after I received the money from sales.​

Sjögren is een chronische reumatische auto-immuunziekte waarbij vochtafscheidende klieren ontstoken raken met name de slijmvliezen in de mond, de ogen en soms op diverse andere plaatsen in het lichaam niet meer goed werken. Een bijwerking voor mensen met Sjögren is vermoeidheid.
De reden waarom ik dit vertel is omdat ik drie jaar geleden zelf de diagnose kreeg te horen dat ik Sjögren had. Om op je 30ste te horen dat ik zoiets had was een behoorlijke schrik. De meeste mensen denken dat reuma een ouderdoms probleem is. Er is een brede spectrum van reuma, en het heeft verschillende uitwerkingen.

Ik wil mijn denk afgeven voor de correcte diagnose te kunnen stellen, en alle vervolg hulp erna. Dankzij hun hulp kan ik leren leven met mijn aandoening en weer balans zoeken in mijn leven.
Daarom, voor iedere boek die ik verkoop tijdens december 2018 ga ik 1€ doneren aan Reumanederland.

De donatie zelf zal ik maken begin januari 2019 nadat ik de geld van alle verkoop binnen heb. Ik zal hier en op twitter een bericht plaatsen met de eind hoeveelheid.
